It is now the holiday season. A holiday for many people means time off work. For others a holiday is time that is free from things such as medical appointments and mundane tasks.

I am planning a trip to Europe next year. There are so many interesting places to see in Europe. Friends ask how will I spend my time there. I tell them I never write a list of what I like to see and do on a holiday.

For some people a holiday means not leaving home. They enjoy relaxing at home and doing things around the house. I know some people who like to play extreme sports on their holidays. Other people just like to lie around a pool or by the beach. Some friends like to go camping in the outback. Everyone is different. For me a holiday is often about going away. It is about planned travelling.

Travel

I like to try local foods that are different to the food I eat at home. I especially like food markets. I also enjoy visiting vineyards and wineries.

There are so many things to see and do when you visit a new place. I enjoy visiting art galleries and museums. Using my scooter I can also get around to look at architecture.

I like to learn and experience other cultures. I like to meet people. I enjoy learning interesting facts and stories.

Holidays at home

Sometimes I spend my holidays at home. I like to sit and enjoy great coffee. I also like to listen to music with emotion. I also visit parks and gardens because I enjoy being out in nature.
