My background is nursing and disability support. When I began losing my sight to retinitis pigmentosa, I decided to study journalism and creative writing. Travel and peoples' experience with disabilities is my main focus. I have been published in mainstream as well as the disability sectors. I have been writing mainly articles and poetry on mental health for over 10 years. I have written articles and poetry for 'The Big Issue' on my schizophrenia as well for St Vincent De Paul. I have also featured on the SBS Insight website. I love now getting my articles to rhyme, with DiVine giving me that perfect opportunity.

I am a social worker. I moved to country Victoria from North Queensland many years ago. I've worked in disability, advocacy and community development. I love the opportunity to combine my two main passions in life: social work and theatre. I enjoy all aspects of theatre production and performance. I also enjoy reading, travelling, cooking, playing the saxophone and photography.
